Here are some pictures of my latest builds of this plane. First a Coastal Command Mk.II from a Torpedo Training Unit in late 1943:
Then a RAAF MK.VIII with the enlarged tail area and different engine nacelles and gear doors:
and lastly another Mk.II Coastal Command plane with radar represented to show it in flying condition for a diorama I am making:

1/144th, if I am not mistaken. I think they are his resin kits. Beautiful looking birds! |

Splendid! I like the dirty look your wash gives them. My favorite is the Coastal Command Mk.II., 'cause I like contrasting camo best :) Rolando |

@ Cardinal Hawkwood thank you and as Mako says they are 1/144 resin. @ Rolando Thank you, I use a combination of washes and 'pin' washes to highlight some areas and dirty others up as well as using Pollyscale clear flat as a final coat which causes apart from 'matting' the gloss down also causes a milky faded look to the colours which I like and think represents faded paint quite well (of course if this is not the effect you are after then I suggust you use another matte as a final coat) in fact I have done an experiment where I have got some gloss Blue and used about 7 different matt (matte or flat) varnishes to compare them and must post it for others to see. |
