I've just about finished my Vought Kingfisher scratchbuild for use with 28mm Pacific wargame. Here are a few pics showing the solid wood construction technique:

and a couple more:

Nicely done! I expect it will be lots of fun to use in a game. Rob.

Damn, that is REALLY nice work.

How much would you charge for two A-26 Invaders in 1/100 scale? Just wonderin' aloud…

Very nicely done! Did you use bass wood or balsa?

Hi All, Thanks for the kind words.

-Patrick – these models are super time consuming so I don't do commission work, though I strongly encourage you to try to make it yourself. The material is dirt cheap all you need are tools & a three view line drawing. PM if you want more tips.

-Colonel Hairy Haggis- I use basswood and scraps of metal. A bandsaw is my favorite tool

These are EXCELLENT, John! You know, you may want to reconsider and, perhaps, make a go at producing your own line of aircraft in either 1/56 or 1/100 scale.

Thank you for sharing your pics with up, johnnytodd! thumbs up

Thanks Saginaw. I've done some master building for JTFM but the level of carved detail on my planes is just not enough to satisfy a discriminating eye. Here are a couple more pics of the finished model. The crewmen are conversions from Copplestone and CO.B<p>
