can anyone tell me what dimensions the infantry and cavalry strips are for the above (width x length

Cavalry come individually. If I recall correctly, infantry strips are 5 men across, and just about 1" wide by 3/8" deep.

And to you, as well!

Marching ACW infantry strips are 1" wide. I've heard that other infantry strips are not exactly the same width, but I only have marching strips.

The "advancing" strips are a tad wider than the marching poses.

Marching 5 men almost 1" across.
Advancing 5 men about 1 1/4 across.

Both will fit on a 40mm wide stand. Advancing will need just a bit of trimming.

Galvin – you beat me to it :-) That is very important to note. Now I base everything for the larger 1 1/4" wide strips. When I first started basing I didn't realise there were longer strips, and ended up having to rebase figures. My basing system for OG 10mm is to have units of 6 strips of infantry, with two strips to a base, the base being just wider than the figures.
