So far, I have a. ordered a copy of "Close Action" from WarWeb and never heard a word back from them, despite a number of e-mails, until I e-mailed them cancelling the order; then, all of a sudden, they tripped over each other trying to get to the mailbox; b. ordered a copy of Warhammer Historical's "The Great War" from WarWeb and been told, after I complained about the delay, that this was a pre-order and I would have to wait until the rules were released, even though I hadn't placed the order until two weeks after the release was announced (their customer service guy accused me of being "snippy" after that one); c. ordered a bunch of BF Fallschirmjaeger from WarWeb, for which they billed me on Dec 1 and which they finally got around to shipping, without any explanation for the delay, on Dec 16. The obvious answer, of course, is to stop ordering stuff from WarWeb, which I most certainly intend to do. However, I have spent a certain amount of time sending out kudos to outfits like Khurasan and Knuckleduster that play square with their customers, so I feel I owe it to the public to occasionally dump on people who don't. Hmmm, I wonder what's going on? There have been similar comments this year. I used to get great service from them four or so years ago. After the OG15s' dumping of Gripping Beast a year or two back I had to move to other sources. Now I have been noting these sort of threads popping up more and more in recent months

Hmmm, I wonder what's going on? There have been similar comments this year. I used to get great service from them four or so years ago. Actually, I've never gotten good service from WarWeb but dealt with them primarily because they carried the Davco 1/3000 scale predreadnoughts. Now I can get the Davco ships more conveniently from Skytrex and the WTJ predreds more conveniently still. I just kept hoping

I put in an order recently and had no problem, it was for the usual CD figs though. It took the normal 3 weeks from order to delivery as well. I've not tried ordering anything other then CD, JR (?) terrain, and GHQ minis from them though. |

Didn't they change ownership about 5+ years ago? I used to buy from them but not in quite some time. |

Haven't gone to them since 2004/2005 and it took them a while. |

In Warweb's defense, my last order with them was placed the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, received the package in 8 days. Not bad spanning a holiday weekend. I think it is mostly a matter of whether they have it in stock, or have to wait to get it from the manufacturer. On my prior order with them, I did have a problem (on my end, not theirs) and they responded to me within 24 hours of my e-mail. Sorry to read about the bad experiences, but my recent experiences have not been bad. |

how do they do with Old Glory 15's? Is there anyone else who sells packs at a discount? I need a handful of figs, ordering them from OG15's has always been good service, but no discount until you get to $100. So I was looking at war web to fill the void, but now feel nervous |

I bought from them six months ago and they were pretty damn useless; took 3 weeks to even dispatch some very standard late war german infantry and armour (I deduced from the content of their emails that they had them sitting around for a week after the manufacturer got them to them, what company does that?!?!). |

I stopped ordering from WarWeb late last year after a couple of bad experiences. It is too bad, since they used to provide great and speedy service. My last order was delayed because the products were out of stock. I never received notification from them about the back-order, and only learned the situation when I contacted them after two weeks of no news or product. They promised to complete the order at the start of the next month when the shipment from the manufacturer was due. Two weeks into the next month I contacted WarWeb again to find out the status. It turned out they forgot to order the back-ordered products the previous month and it would be another month till the order would be filled. I canceled the order at that point and haven't used them since. |

Ever since WarWeb was sold to the 19th Century miniatures guys (IIRC) service has been lacking though they did expand their ranges carried or at least their ranges they could order. I miss how I used to get coupons from the previous owners every so often. |

Crap, just placed an order with again. Overall, I agree with the comments here. I don't care to do business with them because they are sooooo slow. But, I get pulled back by their discounts and, this time, the figures I ordered are not for a project that I am in a rush to do. However, I have always gotten my stuff in 3-4 weeks. |
