Or as us Star Wars fans call it…
Yup.
I watched The Star Wars Holiday Special" over the weekend.
Had another couple over and they said that they had never seen it, so I jokingly put it in, thinking that they would WANT to turn it off after 15 min…
Nope.
They wanted to sit through the whole thing…
And we laughed and laughed and laughed at it all night.

And yea.
Its still bad.
How many of you are planning on watching it this Christmas season?
Still NOT the worst thing Lucas ever did…

Twenty minutes was the limit on the unsuspecting viewers the last time we showed it. Wimps.

"The horrible Holiday Special that nobody talks about". George Lucas did not have significant involvement with the film's production, and was unhappy with the results. David Acomba, a classmate of Lucas' at USC film school, had been selected to direct the special, but he chose to leave the project, a decision supported by Lucas.

I have not seen it since it was on TV a few years back…ok couple more than a few, something like 33yrs ago?

Oh dear god…33yrs…I was only 13yrs old but still…33yrs…whew…I guess I should watch it again :)

Sadly, the best part (the Boba Fett cartoon) was pretty poorly animated. Which seems to be in keeping with the quality of the rest of the show I suppose.

I've never seen it myself, perhaps over here was a safe haven from it…

I saw it once this year for the first time. My eyes still hurt. And the TMPer who sent it to me has a special place in the down under with his name on it.
