I have two fictional Latin American countries for my modern micro armour games (Malaguay and Pizzarra)… now I would like to add a third, but I can not find a name… can you help me with some idea? Thank you!

EDIT: I'll find my notes from Caltrop-Trio (I even have the 1:1,000,000 that they made)

You could borrow from Gilligan's Island: Equarico.

one thing I do is to pick a real country that makes me think of what my imagination would be like, say Costa Rica then scan through the list of cities in Costa Rica to find a name.

I won't use any name with too many consonants or containing an "w" or a "k"

"Los Republica" grates in the ear of any Spanish speaker – masculine plurar articles won't go with feminine singular nouns

I'd suggest:
Vergonza
Guatepeor
La República de San Itario

I like Bananistan… Another could be Costa Pobre… Thank you!

Nice list here: link

The country in the novel on which the Woody Allen film "Bananas" was based on would be a nice candidate as well.

San Moronica--"Moronica for Morons!"

Lumbago-- where the inhabitants endure back-breaking labor to earn a living.

The People's Republic of Cuta-- whose shapely vivacious dictatrix Fidella rules with an iron hand, but is adored by her macho citizens.

Mataguero!

And for a capitol name, just use the Spanish version of any saint.

Does anyone remember the name of the dictatorship in the original In-Laws,with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin? I remember they had the coolest flag, ever.

Bit late, but the good old Recon RPG featured a central American state called Sangria.
