Am I missing something or is this 1:100? 20mm scales to 1:72 or 1:76?

rolgan16 Dec 2011 1:55 p.m. PST

This is 1:100! Some of his other stuff is 1:72 and he may offer this in that scale as well.

Go to the blog and be amazed by Denis' magick.

And positively kanon good news about.E-50 and E-75.

Rubbing hands gleefully…

1:100 = 20mm ?

Lion in the Stars18 Dec 2011 11:25 a.m. PST

15mm, at least for vehicles, L4. A 6-foot human is 18mm boots to top of head, which makes for about 16mm to the eyes.

20mm is roughly 1/72.

That's what I thought !!! old fart Thanks !!!

heavytrack127 Dec 2011 5:46 a.m. PST

At long last! This I like. I've been hoping someone would do the 'E' series in 15mm for a long time, Been looking to do 'operation unthinkable' now finally this could be it. Now if the fantastic guy who's doing these vehicles make it easy for thicko's like me to order from him, then we're rockin' ana rollin'.
Merry Christmas everybody, and have a safe, healthy and prosperous new Year,

Mike

World of Tanks has a lot to answer for

Moqawama13 Jan 2012 10:34 p.m. PST

Actually 1:72 it's more like 22-24mm.

Scales are a bedlam this day.

the 'mm' figure should indicate the distance from the bootsole to the eye, which is (or should be) THE ONLY CONSTANT in a human-sized mini.

Helmets, peaked caps, shakos, hussar fur hat, they can all warp the height of a miniature if measured "from top of head to the feet".

Moreover usually "actual" historical figures were sculpted with realistic proportions while Fantasy/SF minis had 'heroic' proportions but then Peter Pig and Battlefront started releasing 'heroic' proportiones WW2 figures a new trend took over.

Nice job!!! Are you going to be selling there???

I'm hoping to do some E-series work once I get a decent Tiger II to work from. I've done some other oddballs:

Sorry, bit confused, are you on about doing some 'E' series in 20mm scale? If so, count me in as a potential customer

Just seen your post on WWW2, If you do decide to do any in 20mm as I said, I'll have some.
