It's kinda pricy. Combine that with a decent mill or small cnc machine and your up and running with cheap plastic figs.

Startup per line would still be higher then making production molds for white metal. Still a lot lower then having professional molds made and you could do a single sprue at a time. No need to do a 10k unit production run just to make the investment back.

Kinda makes me wish I had the extra capitol laying around to experiment with it. Hmm cheap plastic 15mm scifi vehicles…. one can dream :)

Check the reviews on that particular machine first. It was posted up here on TMP about 2 years ago (Warning: I have very little concept of time and 2 years could be anything from 6 months to 15 years!). I looked into it and through the various reviews found several similar machines that were more attractive.
