It's kinda pricy. Combine that with a decent mill or small cnc machine and your up and running with cheap plastic figs. Startup per line would still be higher then making production molds for white metal. Still a lot lower then having professional molds made and you could do a single sprue at a time. No need to do a 10k unit production run just to make the investment back. Kinda makes me wish I had the extra capitol laying around to experiment with it. Hmm cheap plastic 15mm scifi vehicles

Check the reviews on that particular machine first. It was posted up here on TMP about 2 years ago (Warning: I have very little concept of time and 2 years could be anything from 6 months to 15 years!). I looked into it and through the various reviews found several similar machines that were more attractive. |
