Hi, folks. I got my order from Battle Miniatures Emporium. Ordered it Friday, got it Monday, even had a couple of cool freebies. Posted a little about it on my blog.

I agree 100%. Got my new figures in a flash and they are very nice. Tons of character and some critters that are different from what everyone else is selling. I really like the Rattlewings for small flying critters for both 15mm Sci-Fi and for my fantasy forces. I think they might have a place with my Dark Elves that need some flying units for Mighty Armies. The Flies are also very nice with a lot more detail than I expected for their size. I think they will also be multibased for use with some of my Fantasy forces. The Death Diggers will also make nice creatures for multiple genres. Overall, great work and I look forward to ordering more of Joseph creations in the future.

Thank you Mike!!!

I am still researching the facts about, and working on setting up International Shipping.

Paintbeast08 Dec 2011 3:12 a.m. PST

I received my order yesterday.

Joseph has stayed in contact with me throughout the process. Which was important because he ran out of wings and could not fill my order…short one pack. We quickly came to an arrangement for the missing pack, and I couldn't be happier.

I have to say the figures are much better in hand. The detail on them is excellent. The flies came in several poses, and while the wings only have the one pose the tail and wings can be easily bent to alter them significantly.

Keep 'em coming!!

Pics, we want pics of the stuff in full colour. Paintbeast, live up to your name right away, please.

Eli this is a funny parable, and it IS exactly how I see the whole effort it took to get BME up and running.

Yeah, a total class act.

Slappy18 Dec 2011 3:10 a.m. PST

wonder if any of the people here will change their minds now?

Tgunner20 Dec 2011 3:58 a.m. PST

Yeah, I guess it goes to show you that PR is important. Here BME does a great job as a seller by giving great customer service and getting praised and earning good will. Then he shoots his mouth off with a thoughtless joke/comment and he tanks what he worked so hard to earn.

It's a shame really.

JRacel20 Dec 2011 10:03 a.m. PST

Well, Joe provided good customer service and a nice product, unfortunately as Tgunner states, he needed to work on his public relations before shooting himself in the foot. He has been banned again from TMP, so there is no chance here for him to apologize or do any damage control for his actions, so I imagine the majority of TMP will be less than favorable to his business. I'm not saying that is wrong, so please do not take it that way. I will likely still buy some things since I do like some of the figures, especially the Rattlewings, but do deeply regret the situation BME created and those that were hurt by his words and actions. My last advice to him was to run his business and not engage in online discussions if he can not maintain a level of acceptable professionalism. If he can not do that, then he will only hurt himself by undermining his business. The hobby is to small a world for such things not to be notice.

Here BME does a great job as a seller by giving great customer service and getting praised and earning good will.

Well, at least to a few people who were keen to help him out by posting positive things on TMP about it.

The desire to forgive, and help someone turn over a new leaf, is quite a good one, and it's also going out on a limb a bit, trusting someone who's been a pariah to turn a new page, and encouraging others to trust him too. And of course people can do such a thing, can turn the page.

It's really a double betrayal of those people who stuck their necks out and tried to show him in a good light for him to then promptly post such vile comments, especially when the stage was set to be bigger about it and let bygones be bygones. If he had just responded, "no, Kev, not that, I'm sorry I said that," that would have been that, and the people who were going out of their way to support him here would have been vindicated. But apparently those people didn't mean much to him.

Eli Arndt20 Dec 2011 10:22 a.m. PST

Well said, Jeff.

What makes this worse, in my opinion, is that several people, including myself, have tried to coach him on his public image and how he conducts himself online. I've commented on threads of his and even tried off the forums in private correspondence and at almost every turn he has shown a "my way or the highway" attitude.

@JRacel- "He has been banned again from TMP, so there is no chance here for him to apologize or do any damage control for his actions,"

Agreed, but he does have other venues on which he could make a public apology, such as his blog or storefront. If he were to forward along something postive, perhaps even the editor would post it on his behalf? It seems he put a ton of work into this project, it seems a shame not to make a crack at salvaging it, even if its too late for many here.

ThorLongus20 Dec 2011 10:51 a.m. PST

so what does it mean to be banned from TMP…
he can still read everything here, he is just blocked from posting under that account, correct?
will we see a new account with the same initials soon?
how long till Butter Me Evil shows up?

JRacel20 Dec 2011 11:22 a.m. PST

I think ThorLongus that being banned means bill blocks your TCP/IP address, but not sure.

Maybe he can read it, and if so I hope he takes the message to heart and tries to make some amends.

TMP definitely provides my daily does of drama. Who needs teenage daughters, Jerry Springer or Soap Operas, we get everything we need right here with a side helping of Wargame and Miniature news.

Yes.

Maybe. I think the editor does not allow people who have locked accounts from opening what are obviously new accounts, but it may vary from case to case.

My guess would be that if he opens Butter Me Evil and posts in a BME-ish way, he'd be rapidly locked on that account too.

I think he'll need to approach the editor and ask that he be allowed to post here again in order to post here as the proprietor of his web store.

I think that's what he did with "Battle Miniatures Emporium," presumably saying that he was past all the negativity, but the editor shut him down when his actions indicated that's not the case.
