any chance of seeing them compared to an infantryman?
Thanks

These look great Scot a couple of very welcome editions to your growing inventory, the ZHI-111 Chinese assault lander will be very useful indeed to anyone wanting a small Troop transporter or possibly a light Dropship. I would just add a small gun turret to the upper front section of the hull to make it look more armed if i were to get one though… :) zac

comstarhpg03 Dec 2011 8:19 a.m. PST

Those are two more great models to your range :)

Scorpio03 Dec 2011 9:38 a.m. PST

Oh, that lander is quality stuff.

wolvermonkey03 Dec 2011 11:42 a.m. PST

You get better and better at this stuff with each new kit man. Great work.

Louie N03 Dec 2011 11:45 a.m. PST

The lander is quite impressive.

combat wombat03 Dec 2011 12:10 p.m. PST

Sort of has a battlestar galactica feel to it I think. This was my original lander from when I first started. I redid the cockpit area and cleaned it up a bit. I am going to make some rocket pods for it too.

captainquirk03 Dec 2011 2:06 p.m. PST

Would be cool if you had a few weapon fits, like the old Huey… hogs, frogs and chunkers… Some landing skids would be awesome too.

Are the landers on sale now?

Little Big Wars03 Dec 2011 3:00 p.m. PST

I'm holding out for that Chinese Hovertank that you previewed recently. Your line of Chinese hovers may well seal the deal on the JNDF line of equipment.

combat wombat03 Dec 2011 3:39 p.m. PST

LBW: that hover tank is available. it is with one of the barrel options. thinking of some sort skid idea.

I stand corrected then… awesome.

Both of these are simply wonderful models. For what is best is that the Mighty Wombat o' War gets the need for logistical support elements – and delivers, this splendid hover flatbed to his existing line of wheeled and grav/hover carriers for growing variety. evil grin

Now of course, these flatbeds could easily be converted to "technicals" IMHO, just add a ZU-23-4 and gun crew to the bed and a suitably battered civilian-cargo-mover-turned-technical and yer off and running. Hey, uh, Mr. Wombat, any chance you'll use some of those fancy turned metal barrels of yours to make a static mount AAA asset that'll fit in the bed of this new hover truck? Make mine a funky triple weapon mount ala the WW2 German 15mm Drilling or the Japanese 25mm shipboard AAA, please!evil grin

The lander would also make a superb orbit-to-surface utility boat for the Star Fleet/Imperial Terran Navy/Weyland-Yutani Corp. landing parties. Again, just add the appropriate paint scheme, and it's either into a hot LZ, hard cover during a shootout at Docking Bay 94, or a hush-hush job of picking up samples of a particular xenomorph for the gang in the bioweapons R&D division.evil grin

Wombat o' War strikes again.evil grin

Both are fun, but the hover support craft is fun city.

combat wombat03 Dec 2011 10:04 p.m. PST

there are numerous ideas flowing about the flat bed!!

BlackWidowPilot Fezian03 Dec 2011 10:42 p.m. PST

"there are numerous ideas flowing about the flat bed!!"

You've definitely got the basis for several modular vehicle systems both military and civvie with this and your previous flatbed vehicles:

*AAA with quad light flak cannons and enclosed gunner cab

*Air Defense Missile System with enclosed gunner cab

*Twin medium flak system with enclosed gunner cab

*Light artillery auto-RAM howitzer module

*Heavy mortar (160mm) on powered remote mount with auto
loader system

*Improvised "gun truck" for convoy escort duty

*Cargo load consisting of barrels

*Cargo load consisting of ammo boxes/crates

*Cargo load of miscellaneous civilian nature (ie., chicken coop/local fauna equivalent, whiskey barrel, beer twelve pack, case of dynamite, spare tires, jerry cans, etc.)

*C-cubed module

*MASH unit module

*Engineers field repair wagon module including waldo crane
arm

*Enclosed cargo module (ie., *HDS* interstellar parcel
delivery service -remember Ace Venture, Pet
Detective? I've concluded that Ace was ahead of his time,
and that HDS stands for *Hyperspatial *Delivery *Service
Bwahahahaaha!!! evil grin)

*Field refueling tank module

*Firefighting module including light bar for top of cab

*Law enforcement paddy wagon module complete with barred
windows (prisoner breakout scenario, anyone?)

*Back Hoe digger vehicle with additional stabilizer jacks

*Utility repair module

*Spaceport ship tow vehicle

*Spaceport cargo loader with scissor lift cargo bed loaded
with luggage…

This'll keep you busy, I reckon… evil grin

P.S. Am I the only one who sees Wombat being one-stop shopping for a 15mm spaceport table layout…?evil grin
