Bonsoir , A friend of mine, Eric Dauriac, has just published a book on napoleonic weaponry, their tactical use and their efficiency, the french title is: « Les armes de Napoléon ». You can buy the book on the following site: jeux-histoire.fr A few introductive words from the writer: "This text is the result of my Phd essay written for the Sorbonne University. It presents a comprehensive encyclopedia on revolutionary and napoleonic weaponry. You will find a comparison between french and foreign ordnances. The key issue is to point out that the lack of technical knowledge, added to political lobbying, made the napoleonic era people, unaware of the misunderstanding between theoritical efficiency and day to day usefulness of weaponry. This work criss-cross information from various college curriculum. This study gives a good point of view of what a napoleonic firefight could look like, to conclude that fighting spirit remained the most important factor to win when compared to technicity of weaponry."
