The Gladiator rules give you 2 archer options, light and heavy – mentioning that the heavy was probably only used in the eastern empire. Nevertheless, that is the miniature I got in the "ranged weapon specialist" pack from CrusaderMiniatures and I'm not complaining.

Since the bow is the weakest ranged weapon, it is good to have the gladiator armed with it decently protected by chainmail and plate armor. Even though it is not sculpted on the model itself, rule wise he carries a Gladius as a backup weapon. I figure his survival rate will be higher than his half naked dart and javelin throwing buddies.
