Gah. It's GW pricing. They are licensed though and those are some pretty freaking amazing sculpts
. They just need to be in plastic, multipart and come 20 to a box and we're all set. |

Well if you Google translate it: "White metal kit to assemble and paint resin 5 stormtroopers MULTIPOSE" That is £21.74 per pack but with taxes and shipping £30.07 that looks like Grandma Wendy prices for a metal and resin kit. But they do also have a good selection of the characters as well from the films.
link Oh well when I win the lottery:( Cheers Matt |

Man they look nice. I might someday get a box some day when I win the Lotto. But I could never see paying that much for an Army. Plus they do not have others in the series. I would like to see the kit. VR James Mattes |

First of all a disclaimer: I have not any commercial relationship with Knight Models (Hell! I do not sell their minis in my shop even!), but it happens that I know one of the owners and sculptor. For each piece they sell, 15% of the money is paid to Lucasfilm as royalties. That beside the money they did pay upfront when signing the contract with Mr Lucas' company for the rights to produce the figures (I know the figure, but as I do not know if the information is privileged or not I don't dare to show it here, in a public forum). Yes, Knight Models are expensive. I won't deny it. But that's what happens whe you are a small company (this is formed by two guys and 4 employees) and must pay what you must pay to produce a limited number of miniatures. Hasbro, with its bulk production in China, can afford lower prices; Knight Models can't. Mind that I am not judging Mr. Lucas. It's his creature and he can ask how much he wants to others for the right to use it. I am just explaining why it's so expensive. |

Etranger 01 Dec 2011 10:46 p.m. PST A touch of YMCA about those stormtroopers, no? LOL NOW that is something I would pay to have. Put them on a command stand 4 wide and see who gets it. VR James Mattes |

Lol. Good stuff. Thought occurs though. One wouldn't need an army of them. Just a couple squads perhaps. link link |

15% doesn't sound unreasonable, given the subject matter, and demand. Of course, I won't be buying them at $10 per figure, but that is for the manufacturer and others to sort out. The CMG minis and the old WEG ones are a bargain by comparison, and still fairly nice. |
Big Jim | 02 Dec 2011 3:46 a.m. PST |
For those in the UK Maelstrom Games stock them, with free P&P world wide for orders over £10 if that helps. link |
Mako11 | 02 Dec 2011 9:57 a.m. PST |
Well, that brings them down to around $7.00 each, which is still waaaaay too expensive for me. |
jpattern2 | 02 Dec 2011 12:46 p.m. PST |
If they do multipose Tusken Raiders like that . . . |
Mako11 | 02 Dec 2011 7:22 p.m. PST |
You can get the 3 3/4" tall figures for that price, and pose away, or easily convert them to your heart's content. Banthas are even available too. Of course you'll need a slightly larger playing area, but they will look very impressive on the gametable. |

Mako11, been there, done that. :) I have Tuskens in at least 5 scales: 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, 3-3/4", and the larger action figures – I think they're 6" or 8", I forget. And I have Banthas in 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, and 3-3/4". Would I still buy these multipose Tuskens? What do you think? :) |
