Hey all,

As you have likely summized from my various posts, I like to convert and sculpt bits and pieces for my various projects.

Is there any interest in me posting pictures of these conversion projects while they are still in the green stuff and styro stages?

I like seeing sequence shots once something's finished. But usually can't be bothered following work in progress.

I prefer shots on completion also, but I don't mind just WIP pictures. For me it's really interesting to see what goes in to the creation and hear some of the thought process behind it.

It might give me some ideas to use with my own conversions, so go ahead.

Yup

Cool. I'll offer both then. I'll post completed conversions or WIP that show some level of recognizable progress for more major projects.

For example, I have just finished converting some ancient Persian horse archers and other cav into passable Eastern Euro. horsemen. It's been an easy, but fun process. They are not historical, but definitely suitable to fit into Alcovia.

I agree with Derek. I prefer to see the sequence from start to finish. But either way, please post. I like seeing what others do.

I like to see the whole sequence at once; I might not find the intermediate posts again if you wait.

When people are asking for the finished product, are they meaning he finished conversion or the finished figure – paint and all?

Conversion would be fine, but painted would be better.

Thanks for the feedback. Here are my thoughts on this all.

I have always found it useful to see conversions in the raw. I find that seeing them in progress is also helpful as long as the progress being shown is something substantial and representative of an accomplished part of the whole. I'd not show a picture of an unfinished face or half a leg.

I do like to see finished conversions and painted figures both. Seeing what the total conversion is before the figure is painted allows me to appreciate the work that went into it and have a better idea of what the build does for the finished product.

To publish a WIP diary could be useful fpr self-cheering (direly needed at times, we all know) and if you are asking for comments / suggestions -then don't forget to give a specific label to the series, for easy sorting out / retrieval later. Otherwise, posting once a step-by-step illustrated report would be more reader-friendly.

Could also be useful for others who are looking for inspiration, or some incentive or cheering on.

Show us what you like to show us :)

Errr..miniatures-wise that is…

Finished work along with pics of the progress. Unless of course it is a massive bit of work.
