In terms of rules this Gladiator is close to the Gaetulian. Though the weapon has shorter throwing distance, and is not as hard hitting. It can however be used in close combat as opposed to the darts which can only be thrown.
Both the Javelin and Dart projectiles also have the secondary ability of rending shields useless if they fail to wound the Gladiator they hit (if he carries a shield that is).

More pictures on my blog. And as the rules for projectiles and their abilities are scattered in the Gladiator book I also wrote down page numbers where you can find the important rules for the abilities and strengths of these weapons.

Terrement, he carries 4 javelins and a small knife as a backup weapon when he runs out of projectiles. Though those things aren't represented on the model.

bandit85, those Gladiators were really nice. Very dynamic pose on the Secutor and Thracian in particular. But I think they would be too big to mix in with the Crusader Miniatures stuff I have which are roughly 28mm tall and some of them being a bit smaller still. At this moment I have a pile of Gladiators (almost the entire Crusader range) so what I would really need is some good looking animal miniatures :-)

But thanks for the tip!
