"For definite delays of up to 30 days, you may treat the customer's silence as agreeing to the delay. But for longer or indefinite delays – and second and subsequent delays – you must get the customer's written, electronic or verbal consent to the delay. If the customer doesn't give you his okay, you must promptly refund all the money the customer paid you without being asked by the customer."

I got mine today. I had preordered 2 boxes of them from the warstore. I got two extra sprues of marines, but no actual gunny model. I did however get a coupon code that expires may 30th for a free gunny model to be used at defiance games. I wonder if that means I have to buy something directly from them to use it?

Anyway here is a pic of the contents of 1 box still on the sprue to show everyone that I did actually get them.

Interesting. I hadn't heard any mention about the pre-order bonus being included for non-direct orders?

That's actually pretty cool (and means I get Gunnys!).

So here are some quick comparison pics I took.

and because I think its funny here is a pic of a quick conversion I did using a grenade launcher from the WGF greatcoats.

In the first pic, which company makes the guy on the far right? I noticed those on another set of pictures and they look very nice painted up.

I gots mine in me grubby li'l mitts today. :)

Detail is nice and crisp, with depth and clarity.

A bit of flash around some of the cupped hands – easily fixed with an X-Acto blade.

My only complaint is the fill inside of the wire stock – joining the gun and the arm holding it. I think a weapon separate from the arm might be something to consider in the future – though wire stocks are likely going to be a pain regardless. (or maybe I am wrong in assuming a wire stock.

Overall, I am quite happy with the models.

The Auld Grump – thanks!

Re: wire stock? No wire stock on the M-46. This is what they look like:

Finally finished enough of my schoolwork to steal time last night to assemble my four sample figures (at last!).

I've been working plastic models for over 40 years now, have assembled everything from GWs original "Space Wombles" to their first Space Orks and Imperial Guard, epic scale figures, to the current Catachan Devils and more AFV kits than I care to remember. I've built and painted Space Rangers, EM4 robots, Wargames Factory Shock Troopers, et al.

These new marines are as good or better than anything out there IMHO. Whatever "issues" exist with them are so minor that some basic model building skills and a moderately decent paint job will resolve them in short order and minimal effort.

I say Defiance Games is off to a great start with this release, and the next releases -especially the Bugs- I for one am looking forward to very much indeed!evil grin

Aha! So I was right! I WAS wrong! :D

Actually, I had just figured that out a few minutes ago with a closer examination, and was coming back to correct myself… but it was already… too late. :P

Agreed, really nice models, and I am quite happy with them.

One of my players really liked the What The !??! Tables as well. Looking forward to seeing the full rules set.

*EDIT* Great, my keyboard seems to be dropping characters, something is amiss….

I hope you customers are happy with your orders. Of course, I hate to tell you this, but the models you're busy assembling are actually photoshopped.

farewell old thread – you have been like a friend to me, keeping me amused for all this time.

John Sowerby04 May 2012 6:59 a.m. PST

I'll be happy when mine arrive, but I only finally ordered on the 1st May.

Defiance Games04 May 2012 12:11 p.m. PST

HI Everyone – just a quick note to let you know that the last order – order #997 – just shipped out to France. Everyone who ordered directly on the website should have received a confirmation email with their tracking in it. If you didn't just let us know and we'll get it to you.

Now…time for BUGS and GERMANS!

Any shots of the sprues / parts out there?

Got mine nicely yesterday, and was nicely surprised to see a free sprue in the box!

Using mine as Light Armoured Troopers for Starship Troopers. The size difference between these and the Mongoose MI actually helps in making the MI look they have power armour now…
