While I'm running my Star Wars Redshift Chronicles, my friend Dan started his Freedom in the Galaxy Campaign. I couldn't make the first session, because I had to work. But here's some "revealing" information I was able to discover

That was a good game. It has a lot of plot elements Lucas didn't think of. Done right, you are in for a treat. |

I'm toying with the idea of buying a copy for it's own sake. But I'm waiting to actually see the gameboard and counters, rather than just looking at pictures. Ted |

Ted it was the first time I had seen the game up close myself. The handling of the systems on the map board are well done. I'm thinking about finding a copy myself now

It's one of the great classic wargames. Get it, if only to drool over. |

Or toss it the dumpster after 30 years in storage,
.sorry. Had to clean out the cellar. Did have it's moments though. |

What!? Captain, you've been demoted. :P :) |

I'll get a good look at the game during tomorrow's Thanksgiving session. Sounds like an expedition to the landfill nearest Capt Beefheart is in order! :) Ted |

Sorry guys. For decades I had a few packing boxes full of stuff like that. Thought they were lost until clearing room for the wife's stuff. Not being an E-bay type of guy and not knowing anyone around to take it, they got junked. Some were re-played but the 30 pages of rules and 6 hour set up days are over. The memories are enjoyed and best kept that way. I find counters to be best for basing 15mm so their DNA remains in the gaming world. Yeah, I winced, cringed and agonized but manned up and finally did it. Sorry guys! |

I Loved FITG . . . The names of characters were either anagrams of SPI designers or jokes. I still use a female character name for my female characters in RPGs and online items – Miss Thyssa Kimbo. |
