I've posted an after action report of my recent game of the Battle of 1st Bull Run with Volley & Bayonet. I have also posted some pictures and discussion of my 2/3rds basing for my ACW figures for use with Volley & Bayonet. For more see: jdglasco.wordpress.com |

Nice report We mostly use Fire and Fury but have found for our big campaign games that Volley and Bayonet are a very useful set of rules |

Wow, love the figs! They look great. Would have been nice to see a larger pic of them. I like the 1st Bull Run scenario. VnB remains one of my favorite big battle games. I enjoyed the other posts on your blog too. ***EDIT I forgot to add that I do 2/3 scale as well. I use 10mm figs. I mounted them up for VnB back in the late 90's for them. The games are visually nice even at the 2/3 scale. Thanks, John |

Nice report on a great scenario (I have used it before as a proxy FPW game). I am another V&B 2/3 scale fan. For me it is 15mm Napoleonics and 6mm FPW. Best set of grand battle scale rules around. |

How long did the Bull Run scenario take to play out? |

John: I'll try to get Mark to take some close up shots the next time we play ACW (maybe Shiloh in January or February). PAR: Each game took between 2 and 3 hours. I think we played a bit slower than normal as we had so few units we were very careful about every move. |

Nice set-up and figures! I enjoyed reading your report. I certainly understand your plight about the image auto-correct feature. My photos often end up with too much blue or yellow tint, depending on how much natural sunlight is entering the room versus my camera's indoor/outdoor setting. Ted |

A suggestion for CSA command before Johnston/Beauregard show up: Any CSA unit in road column and on a road is in command. Otherwise, dice as you already have it. |
