Hi All, Having been reading about all the old wargames in the other thread about MB games I thought about my first ever wargames books. There were 3 I think. They all had 4 games in them and were really well illustrated. I live in the UK and I wonder if any one else remembers them. One had a picture of The Battle of Midway on the cover.Another was Science Fiction and I recall that there was an asteroid mining game. I think there was one about Medieval warfare, but I never had that one. Basically the games came with cut out cardboard gaming pieces and the books themselves were quite big. Does anyone remember them? |

Yup. There were : Medieval WWII SF (all the games were written by Dave Rotor) Wild West Naval battles they were good little games – the WWII winter war was excellent, enjoyed the viking raid one in the naval battles, and all the SF ones were good. |

Wow! TMPers do it again. Thanks for the link Metal Detector. The memories come flooding back.20th Maine I agree they were good games.Must be to still sit fondly in the old brain box. I still think that they sparked my interest to buy a copy of Military Modeling or Battle
Then it was "No way! 1/300th Heroics and Ros." The rest is history. And then there were Terran Trade Authority books. link Thanks again. |

I had a couple (have ! I still have them !) of the Terran Trade Authority Books they were superb – haven't ever come across anything like them since. Great art as well – think most of the full page artworks turned up as White Dwarf covers and also covers of SF novels over the years ! |
