Sounds like a load of fun. Fought like a true Seleucid; plenty of promise but lost the empire anyway!

Thanks! So true! I'm reminded of the anecdote of Hannibal after being shown a review of Antiochus' army--all those silver shields, etc. Antiochus asked Hannibal if it'd be enough, to which Hannibal replied, 'Perhaps, but the Romans are very greedy!'. All display and no substance! |

I see you normally divide the two phalanx. Not something I normally do. Is this the reason for your troubles? I like the AAR's you provide. |

I don't think so. The idea of the divided phalanx is that the element between it is likely to have double overlaps after the pike have pushed back their opponents. Not so good in the game against the Graeco-Bactrians, but that was because I shouldn't have left the elephant to face the auxilia. |
