It's wretchedly bad if you are even remotely interested in the real history of the man. It's like an episode of the Tudors but with even worse acting and script. From a wargaming standpoint Henri spends more time cavorting in sin with his mistresses than he does fighting the Catholics and when there actually is a battle scene you learn that apparently the French wars of Religion were fought by indisciplined hordes of men with few firearms, little cavalry and most of the huguenots at Coutras were really peasants with improvised weapons & farming tools…

I didn't think it was too bad bit gory and a fair amount of adult action so not exactly family veiwing!

I think like Le Renne Margot it captures the feel of the wars of religion in all its brutality!
