Millennium XIV is happening Nov. 11-13 in Round Rock, Texas, this year & I'm running a Sci-Fantasy/Pulp scenario: "Rescue the Incomparable Princess" inspired by ERB's Barsoom. I'll use a Mordheim variant for the rules that I call "MordSoom".

IMO, Mordheim works well for this type of game with swords & pistols, no armor & each player running a powerful hero leading a group of henchmen. The MH Skills allow individuality for the characters & keep 'em from dying too quickly. It's also easy to make up stats for Martian monsters. The major mod that I've made to the rules is replacing the IGO/UGO with a phased simultaneous turn sequence. I use modified Mordheim for my Border Reiver games, also.

Interesting mod to the turn sequence. AAR and show report with photos mid-November please.
