The collection of 18th c. Elves have been rebased for DBA-HX or HOTT use. This project has been evolving over the past two years and is reaching it's completion.

I have yet to see the new 3 Musketeers and will no doubt be inspired to build flyers of some kind, in the meantime, war wagons, galleys and fortifications will keep me busy.

Nice work

Thanks. I should have the 70 bases textured and flocked this weekend with photos following next week. Shortly, I shall add Wardancers and Witches to the order of battle.

These two will come from Demonworld's Icelords of Isthak listing. It is not the painting that is time consuming, but planning suitable colour combinations within an 18th century fashion.

How are you making these? Are you using 18th C historicals as a base and converting them with elements from fantasy figures?

Creation of the archipelago was the first step toward introducing a fantasy element to my 18th century world.

The original inhabitants were natives, much that would be found in South and Central America and the Pacific. It was a year later, while re-reading Moorcock's books I introduced the Melnibonéan Empire as principle rulers of the islands.

Cloaked from the rest of the world the Melnibonéans were able to advance their civilization well ahead of other nations. Magic is still used, but took the form of science.

The following will give insight to the scope of the project.

Where is the archipelago?

As of the last article, I have moved away from the original rule set we used to the more flexible DBA/HOTT system. Everything I currently have has now been rebased and I should have photos posted this coming week.

Thank you. It is an interesting project. Since Baron Münchhausen and his outrageous stories are part of the 18th century tradition perhaps Europeans will discount the reports from New Spain and New France as just travellers' tales. (Helped by the use of the Mirror of Memory.)

Incidentally, what initially drew my attention to your project was another forum member posting some screenshots of "Lacepunk" elves, which he thought would be useful for you.

Best wishes on your nation and army building.
