as title states -- Is TMP no longer a news site but a community site or do I need to pay to advertise? Any way to go back to the old method of posting news? |

I was under the impression that the current phase of testing the new News section is to run a higher volume of stories from paying advertisers only, in a randomly changing order on the front page as detirmined by a dice playing gerbil [1]. Whether in time non-advertisers will be able to submit news again, who knows. I hope so, but I get the impression that there's more work to do.
[1] I may have the bit about gerbil wrong.

Hobby News is open but, due to the backlog, I am taking stories from advertisers only at this time. (Tuesday was a "slow" news day only because I was compelled to take a vacation day – my wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary.) |
