This could be a great Historical movie about the siege of Vienna.

I hope Martinelli has hired some good writers this time, I saw his "Barbarossa": technically excellent but appalling script with also one of the worst lead actors in history.

Script? Who cares about a script? If he films the Hussari attack on the Turkish camp properly, it will be worth the price of admission!

Don't raise your hopes! That was another big problem in Barbarossa: the battle of Legnano at the end of the movie was the biggest letdown I ever felt in cinema. Good photography, good editing, good direction but absolutely nothing that bore a resemblance to the historical battle (or to all others medieval battles too)

I care about a script. Some of the scenes in the movie 1612 were pretty spectacular but overall it sucked. I need a movie to be good, not just to have a good battle scene. It is often the script that I remember best. For all of the awesome fighting footage in Waterloo the best part of the whole movie is the line where Wellington declares his ignorance of farming.

I agree with Pictors Studio. Another "good" example of terrible film is recent "Taras Bulba" from Russia. Great casting and costumes, horrible film. Even battle scenes are crappy.

The victory is credited to an Italian friar and the "brilliant war strategy of … Janos Sobieski"?

I fear for the authenticity of the history at the cost of story.

BTW: The Ottomans certainly did not attack Vienna to reach Rome.

I'll give it a try, though it will be hard pressed to dissappoint my hopes.
