Sounds like fun.

Thanks for sharing your report, and pics.

No doubt, frustrating for both sides, but that appears pretty much true to life.

I'd say the larger vessels were lucky to spot the E-Boats in the dark, especially before a torpedo explosion. Perhaps they had radar, or very good lookouts.

No doubt, a re-match is in order, with more S-Boats, and a weaker escort. Throw some light MGB's into the mix, to help screen the convoy, just for grins.

Yeah! – Less escorts would have made all the difference.
Incidentally Mako, they did try putting MGBs in the escort but found in the dark the merchantmen fired on them thinking they were E-Boats!!!

The Escorts only spotted when 2 E-Boats got quite close,(and I threw great dice!)-- and when hydrophone equipped ships heard torpedoes.
For most of the game, the escorts saw nothing!!, even with starshells!

I think I may have a go at a slightly less random force generator…..Hmm?!?

Link doesn't work.

Just takes me to a generic blog page, with a sign-in prompt.
