Other than the GZG double doors, is there anything else that is not part of the kit in this example here?

The detail on the rear, the circuit box and chimney, are also GZG. Everything else is from the kit.

I think there are 12 sprues in the large kit, which provides enough parts to build two units like this. The scarcity of the half-hex end pieces is the problem. With a steady hand you could cuth the full hex pieces in half to get more units.
