I had an email arrive today from paypal. It registered as from "Paypal". Thankfully my email system marked it as suspicous.

It looked very authentic. And believe me I have had millions of phishing emails, and am pretty good as spotting them. This one came from; paypal@e.paypal.co.uk

I forwarded it to the spoof reporting address (see paypal help) and got back a confirmation it was a phishing.

This one appears targeted at paypal.co.uk users. So just be aware.
Generally spoof mails don't include your full name. This one did! So be watchful.

Thanks for the heads up, we get loads of them each week as well.

My most recent one was from a chap in Cyprus who wanted to buy £600 worth of figures and send his own shipping agent for them. He also wanted me to charge him extra and send this extra money to his shipping agent, via Western Union…

I've still got him going, I'm trying to extract as much info from him as possible, before passing it on to the relevant authorities.

Leon, never mind the authorities, don't we have any TMPers with connections in Cypriotic biker gangs?

That's one I've had many times from all over the place. Last one was, I think, from Malta.
