I think I'm in love:
Well, at the very least I've found a new screen saver, anyway

What's that from? I thought it was a Crimson Skies plane, but then I saw it was too hi-tech

Hmmm, don't see it on Conceptships, but the style looks familiar – same artist who did all those homebre Satrblazers pieces over there a while back, maybe? |

I curse my old brain for refusing to learn Japanese, but the blog it's from has some a-bit-bashed translation that mentions 'Black Sun Pirates'. Star Wars? Fan art? First thing that came to mind was Captain Harlock, though he flew a modified BF 109, I think. Should have gone Focke Wulf, of course

First thing that came to my mind was one of the Gamilon Fighters from Star Blazers/Space Battleship Yamato |

I'd buy a model or mini of the Corsair in a heartbeat. |

The author of the blogsite is also the artist, a devout fan of Space Battleship Yamato as am I. His artwork is simply amazing IMHO, and it is worth a schlep through his entire blog just to view his amazing creations inspired by the Space Battleship Yamato universe. Simply outstanding work IMHO! "HA! Throw a squadron of that at Sheldon" Are you kidding, YDB?! I'd love it for a miniatures manufacturer or a 3D designer working via Shapeways to get in cahoots with this artist and start making minis of his fighters in 1-inch size for SD:TNM and his larger ships for Full Thrust/Warhounds for that very purpose! Does anyone here read Japanese?! Leland R. Erickson

Can y'all imagine these as miniatures painted up on your gaming table:
This one is a personal favorite:
And another fun one:
Now THIS is a space battleship:
I'm still holding out for this artist to render the French battleship Richelieu in her 1943-44 refit as a space battleship
All great stuff, if only we could get it in miniature! Leland R. Erickson

Agreed, Although Liopleuria has a touch of Nemesis the Warlock about it. How goes things with the chance of a Silent Death relaunch? |

Gangrel, we're working on it, approaching a contract signing to get things under way

Yet more inspirations from this outstanding website:
Let's take a closer look at the cruiser McKinley:

I would love to have a squadron of each of these in 1-inch size for Silent Death games:
I shudder to contemplate what this dude would come up with if he adapted the P-38 Lightning to the SBY universe as a heavy space fighter

Leland, Glad to hear it. It's probably not viable, but I'd love to see (and buy) a third boxed set with miniatures. Be assured of my continuing support. Mike |

Just as long as there's no photo-etch or other fiddly bits; probably the real reason my pile of Musashi Ent. never got assembled. Now, painted is another matter. ;->= Doug |
