Hi, we have added our first pack of modern combat models in 15mm scale, eigth SEAL DEVGRU operators.

They wear the OPS-COR helmet and have the PVS-15 down. Due to the nature of many of the missions they undertake, we thought they would likely wear a face mask on mission.

The firearms are mostly HK-416, two of which have grenade launchers attached. There's also an M249 and a Mk 14 EBR to round out the weapons selection.

The set also comes with optional Eagle Yote assault packs -- they might not even wear these if they are hopping out of a chopper to eliminate a target and then being extracted, so we didn't have them sculpted on. If you want to use them, and they do look cool, you can just pop them on.

Whiff Waff made these for us and Piers Brand did the paintwork, great job on both counts chaps!

Here's a look at the two teams, as well as the way they look with the packs on.

picture

Coming very soon will be the objective set -- a terrorist mastermind, three Talib guardsmen with AKs, and a kidnapped Western aid worker, diplomat, journalist, or whatever you want to call her.

Following soon after will be a Talib reinforcement set with a mix of AKs, RPGs and a PK, as well as a leader. Together with the first set (or on their own) they will make a nice set of Talibs for combat in Afghanistan.

After them we will make the SASR.

The SEAL DEVGRU are available now:

This won't be a big range but we thought adding some elite strike teams would make for fun gaming opportunities. Thanks for looking, and happy gaming!

Take my money. Take it now.

Oh…dear.. I'll just go ahead and place my order.

Mako1104 Oct 2011 10:50 p.m. PST

Sounds great.

We'll be needing a "wives" pack too, I imagine.

McWong7304 Oct 2011 11:08 p.m. PST

So much for not buying new lead this month!

Australian SAS and infantry would be nice (hint, hint, hint) and would round out the Afghan conflict for me. But realistically an MRAP in 15mm would be a must have for any Afghan gaming.

Wolfprophet04 Oct 2011 11:33 p.m. PST

Agreed. We need an MRAP and a good Abrams. Two things desperately lacking at the moment.

Sergeant Paper04 Oct 2011 11:35 p.m. PST

Need SEALS in SCUBA too…

Say what!

Btw…THANK YOU for finially doing Talibs with a PK in 15mm. Ive been trying to get that 1 made for ever!

Kudos to "Whif Waff". Excellent work Sir!

Mako1105 Oct 2011 2:19 a.m. PST

Agreed, but they'll be wearing rebreathers most likely, instead of tanks.

I'd love to see some in swimming poses, and others just getting out of the water, or assaulting a vessel to take down terrorists/pirates, or rogue vessel crews.

Then again, we could use some guys for a Thunderball scenario also.

Mooseworks805 Oct 2011 2:24 a.m. PST

The PDF will soon wear this equipment.

JRacel05 Oct 2011 2:43 a.m. PST

Darn it, I just ordered!!!! This is unfair!!!! I think it's a plot!!!

I will have to order some. These would also be perfect for low-tech Sci-Fi forces. Piers did a great job on the painting, especially the camo pattern!

Spin up another batch.

Those are fantastic.

Useful to have the packs separate.

DonLeg05 Oct 2011 7:15 a.m. PST

Just freaking great. Order on the way.

Ambush Alley Games05 Oct 2011 8:24 a.m. PST

Excellent stuff, Jon! I suspect those figures are going to see a lot of action on a lot of tables!

Shawn.

Totally agree, really need some Navy SEAL/SBS type of figures.

K9s?

Hayden05 Oct 2011 10:23 a.m. PST

wonderfull, when i see them i think hmm near future US troopers and when combined them with Khurasan Control Battalion(Pan-asia troops or Neo-soviet) as opposing force we have Near future forces. keep it comming Khurasan!:D

Stepman305 Oct 2011 12:03 p.m. PST

How about some horse mounted/dis-mounted Spec. For. and their Northern Alliance counterparts?

Little Big Wars05 Oct 2011 12:22 p.m. PST

I wish you'd mentioned these in my police thread… as cool as the Ventaurans are, these guys are my SWAT team! A pack of these and two Locusts and I should be set for all my New Hope City SWAT needs.

Sumo Boy05 Oct 2011 1:09 p.m. PST

VERY nice figures, very curious to see your Taliban, too. This is definitely the kind of quality that will sway me into going 15mm for my modern FoF gaming.

khurasanminiatures05 Oct 2011 1:57 p.m. PST

I'm glad you like them LBW! I didn't think to suggest them as police, sorry about that.

DuckanCover05 Oct 2011 3:39 p.m. PST

""Khurasan begins 15mm Modern range…."

My card just can't get a break……… wink

Order sent!

Splod8905 Oct 2011 4:47 p.m. PST

Pfft… My moderns are all 20mm, although it's nice to see Piers painting other scales. That man is truly terribly talented.
I think I'll be using these for Sci-Fi though :)

Dragon Gunner05 Oct 2011 5:17 p.m. PST

They will reinforce my Colonial Marines.

Wolfprophet05 Oct 2011 6:12 p.m. PST

Order sent as well. Hope I wasn't too late to the party to get my two packs. :)

Cacique Caribe05 Oct 2011 7:09 p.m. PST

What? No Somali or Filipino pirates?

Dan

Little Big Wars05 Oct 2011 7:44 p.m. PST

Order sent… for once I put my cash where my mouth is on one of these threads. One pack of SEALs and two Locusts will be coming my way.

DuckanCover05 Oct 2011 7:49 p.m. PST

"What? No Somali or Filipino pirates?"

..guess it depends on the market's enthusiasm for a whole lot of half figures floating face down in the water.

Good point though CC. Modern armies, modern enemies.

Cheomesh07 Oct 2011 6:19 a.m. PST

These are fantastic, and I will grab them when the next few Sci Fi releases hit. However, if I may make a suggestion for upcoming packs: Some game rules are pretty set on ratios of special/support weapons to regular grunts. Could we get a "just rifleguys" to go with a "just support guys" or the "mixed" style pack in the future?

DuckanCover07 Oct 2011 9:07 p.m. PST

"And if I read that original Khurusan text in the linked post correctly they're doing SASR…" thumbs up

No emoticon for beating one's head against a wall though. My poor credit card……………..

Exterminators, Space Demons, SEALs, SAS(R). Going to be a dangerous walk down those Litko Mini Corridors. What a year.

I echo the suggestion of some who think figures in diving gear would be a plus.
