What companies make the best Polybian Roman Sculpts in 15mm?

Looking for figures that would work well with my Corvus Carthaginians…

Recommendations?

I like the Old Glory 15s.

Essex would look to small next to the Corvus Belli.

Outpost are erratically different sized sculpts from pack to pack.

I have Old Glory 15s and I'm pretty satisfied with them

QRF are excellent and will fit with your Corvus Belli.

The Chariot/Magister Militum Republicans are good, and quite 'chunky'.

There is still some debate over the tall feathers question (and your choice of figures might come down to which interpretation you go with …) but don't ask me – it isn't really my period.

The Chariot figures have the traditional single upright bunch with fronds around the holder. No pictures from me yet as I haven't painted mine yet.

This, from the MM online store (if it comes out) is typical, though …

The choice of figures in this period is a joy!

Thanks for the input guys…

What about Warmodelling's mid-republican romans?

If they're like their Napoleonics they will be too big to match Corvis.

I have more than 1000 essex and xorvus belli 15s for the punic wars, and they are almost identical in stature. No idea why anyone would say the CB are bigger than essex, they aren't!

What 6sided said. Mine are all Essex but I have some other CB figures that match really well.

I've become a bit of a fan of the Strategia e Tattica figures. Here are some pictures:

I also have quite a few from the Magister Militum Chariot range, and posted some comparison shots here:

There are lots of good 15mm Romans. Enjoy your search :)

Essex and CB are about the same size but I prefer Xyston as they are lovely figures

My Polybians are 15mm Old Glory which I painted 4 years ago. At the time the Warmodelling figures weren't available, which look to me to be the best figures out there.
