Does anyone please have any reference material stating the coat colour, facing, hat trim etc, for the Dutch Luttisch (Walloon) regiment? Raglan |

My Lord, Their commander from 1702 to 05 was Trogne, 05 to 10 Delspurche, 1710 Spaan. I believe Walloon regiments in Dutch service wore blue coats. I have an illustration of Delspurche figure in a blue coat, red cuffs, red waistcoat, white stockings, white hat lace. Officer orange sash. I hope this helps, your humble servant. Mark. |

And of course Grant lists the No. 20 Walloon regiment in white coats with red facings with the officers wearing crimson red coats. I sometimes think that the WSS is the wargamers equivalent to economics. No two experts ever agree. |

Some confusion here. Lüttich is Liege and not Walloon. There were three Lüttich regiments in Dutch service of which Mark describes the uniform of the only one whose uniform is known. Lüttich (Liege) regiments wore blue coats while most Walloon regiments were in grey-white. |
