"15mm Toy Russian Mechs" Topic

First time I've seen these:

Does anyone know more about them, a cursory google search didn't tell me much. Doesn't Tekhnolog make Robogear?

I know that the ZOD line comes in several different sets (some with terrain and 15mm-esque tanks as well). Tekhnolog makes damn near everything (castles, terrain, Robogear, fantasy figures, etc…).

I'll take a chance on these (and report back) if nobody else is ready to… I've always been curious to see if 15mm plastic infantry are viable.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the first auction with the mechs and fliers. I'll let everyone know how they work out too.

And I grabbed the second, with the infantry and buildings. I'll feature it on Dropship Horizon once it arrives.

It is the same company that makes robogear, and made the ring of rule sets that were available in the states for a while.

They seem to not be willing to ship outside of russia, but there are always a few ebay sellers who carry a smattering of their stuff that will ship worldwide.

I'll be really interested to see how these come out!

Picked up a pair of Z.O.D. mechs as a test, but I'm waiting for them to turn up – unfortunately the tracking data is in Russian so I've got no idea where they are….

Looking at the images of the frames I have to say I'm getting more confident.

The auctions seem to be the miniatures stripped from two of boxed games they produce: Sudden Impact and Dangerous Road. I've seen both on ebay but the postage was nasty. "My Super Tank" looks interesting…

Looks like some of the components for the "super tanks" are from the Robogear line and if they're anything like the Robogear line in general the parts will easily interchangeable between different models.

ZOD 1 is a content of "Dangerous road" box minus terrain. Terrain sold separately, by sprues. I now prepare to selling contents of "Return Move" box. Large ZOD lot is contents of all 10 MiniRoboty ZOD boxes. As soon as Tehnolog start to sell My Super Tank sets i will put them on ebay. Set content 6 different tanks sprues, and each sprue can by assembled in 2 ways making possibility to create up to 12 different tanks. I see them on last Moscow Toy fare and its very good.
Tekhnolog realy produse large line of all modeling, toy and plastic including Robogear and Astroid sci-fi lines.
If you have some questions about Tehnolog i willing to answer.

Thank you for responding. Most of your sales were probably the people here… We look forward to seeing the tank sets.

I can tell you that you would sell many of those ZOD terrain pieces, if they were available separately. And after some of us receive and paint the ZOD infantry, those may also be requested in large, separate lots. Will it be possible someday to buy the terrain and infantry outside of the tank and mecha sets?

I talking with Tehnolog about how to buys several of their sprues separately, but we yet to reach argeement about this. But i think soon i will buy some. I also ask about separate infantry.

You might want to see if you can get the Tanks on their own as well. I think it can be said for most of us that while the mechs are neat, we're really most interested in the Infantry, Vehicles, and buildings.

Though I have to say, thanks for doing this and it actually might be more profitable for you if you started a second site off Ebay to avoid their listing and sale fees… if you could throw a bit of that savings our way we won't complain either. ;)

I'm going to ask you again – please change your listings for these vehicles. They are not suitable for to be 15mm gaming – you should list them as 1/144 so you can sell them to the right people.

I ordered one of the 'one of everything' mech sets, so I'll post a review and comparison to some of the other plastic lines I have (BT 3rd ed, BT Intro, Steel Warriors/em4, Ronin Wars) when they come in.
