Where do you purchase your Warhammer rulebooks, figures, models, etc.?

* local Games Workshop store
* Games Workshop website
* local non-GW store
* The War Store
(add more options)

Connard Sage28 Sep 2011 9:10 a.m. PST

*Don't buy Warhammer products

avidgamer28 Sep 2011 9:14 a.m. PST

The Warstore.

ming3128 Sep 2011 9:19 a.m. PST

What few I do get is the Garage sale finds or the local FLGS. Since I no longer do 40k and very very little Fantasy they purchases are for painting fun.

Baconfat28 Sep 2011 9:22 a.m. PST

ebay

Pictors Studio28 Sep 2011 9:22 a.m. PST

I buy almost all of mine at one of three local gaming stores.

Skrapwelder28 Sep 2011 9:24 a.m. PST

I only have the one war-hammer and I bought it from Museum Replicas.

Spooner628 Sep 2011 9:24 a.m. PST

I used to get them at a FLGS but they no longer carry GW. I occasionally go to the local Battle Bunker for small needs. But mostly go to The Warstore for any large scale purchase.

dandiggler28 Sep 2011 9:33 a.m. PST

Don't really buy GW any more, but last year the wife wanted a box of zombies so I got them from The Warstore.

CeruLucifus28 Sep 2011 9:33 a.m. PST

Local non-GW store. This is my preference -- a store that supports multiple manufacturers -- but as it happens, the "local" GW stores are so far away geographically that there's no real decision to make.

Plynkes28 Sep 2011 9:36 a.m. PST

Amazon.

highlandcatfrog28 Sep 2011 9:41 a.m. PST

What Connard said.

WeeSparky28 Sep 2011 9:49 a.m. PST

The flea market at HMGS cons or TheWarStore primarily, with occasional impulse buys at my local FLGSs.

nudspinespittle Supporting Member of TMP28 Sep 2011 9:57 a.m. PST

On the occasions I do purchase some GW stuff, occasionally the Warstore, but more often any retailer in any state that will give me the best deal.

ordinarybass28 Sep 2011 9:58 a.m. PST

Not buying anymore, but when I was it was primarily used via TMP, Bartertown, DakkaDakka, Craigslist, flea market etc.

Once in a while I'd buy something new at Warstore or my FLGS.

SonofThor28 Sep 2011 9:59 a.m. PST

I don't really anymore since I got into 15mm sci-fi, but if I ever do again I would at my local FLGS.

whill428 Sep 2011 10:00 a.m. PST

Local independent retailer

mex10mm28 Sep 2011 10:01 a.m. PST

90% Local non-GW store
10% Ebay (bitz most of the time)

Garand28 Sep 2011 10:07 a.m. PST

Most at 2 different local stores, where I get a standing 10% off on list prices. After that it's Ebay, then a webstore like TheWarStore. I'm going to try Miniaturesmarket and see how they are in a few weeks.

Generally speaking, if what I want is under $50, I go to a local store. If it is over, I look at web discounters ($50 is about the break even point for cost benefit usually).

Damon.

GoneNow28 Sep 2011 10:07 a.m. PST

When I was buying, it was whatever online shop offered the best deals or Ebay.
Now if I want Warhammer stuff I mainly go for trades.

bracken28 Sep 2011 10:13 a.m. PST

I won't pay the silly unrealistic prices now adays but when I was young and stupid (please note I am now old and stupid) I would buy them from my local model shop ! Although if I was ever somewhere that had a games workshop store I would go and drool at all the stuff in the cabinets and wish I could paint to that standard.

ZULUPAUL Supporting Member of TMP28 Sep 2011 10:17 a.m. PST

Don't buy GW anymore, too expensive, too many spikey bitz.

First, local store that has small inventory, but discounts special orders. Second, a couple of reliable eBay sellers that discount nicely and don't gouge for shipping.

Delthos28 Sep 2011 10:49 p.m. PST

I buy from some guy named Slick Willie in a long black trenchcoat outside the local GW store. I just can't figure out why the label says "Warhamma" instead of Warhammer and the miniatures don't look exactly right and sometimes disolve when I spray them with primer. He gives me good deals and ensures they are the real thing though…

When I'm not buying from him I use Miniature Market and one of my FLGS. Occasionally I'll buy something direct from GW.

stenicplus29 Sep 2011 2:09 a.m. PST

Don't tend to but if I do it's Ebay or Bring & Buys.

Tin hat29 Sep 2011 2:50 a.m. PST

I only buy them in my nightmares.

Poi00029 Sep 2011 3:11 a.m. PST
