Finished one of the ten I ordered from Objects May Appear
shapeways.com/shops/objects This was my dry run before I hit the other nine and the 36 Indian Navy ships that arrived the other day. I need to work on my dry brushing a bit, and be a bit more patient on the basing. I don't think they are too bad for a first try at this scale. The base is a one inch circle if you want a size reference.

Yes. I've ordered a bunch of afrodri's Indians myself in 1/2400. I have a model of this ship in 1/2400 by Viking Forge. I'll wait to see how his models compare before I get more. As to 1/6000 I'd say afrodri's are better than Figurehead. As I said, very nicely done Waco Joe. Oh. I'm wrong. I have a Type 054 not a 054A. Perhaps I'll need to address that after I see the models Do'ah! It occurs to me that arodrig6 is Objects |

:-) Yup. arodrig6 was my college screen name, when I got a TMP account. Since graduating I've been using afrodri. |

Looks surprisingly good, both the casting/printout, and your painting of the ship. However, in my humble opinion, the base is a bit too "busy", and hides the ship. You may want to tone it down a little. The 1/6000 scale ocean wouldn't be that uneven in color except in very bad weather. For example: link link Mark H. |

I agree Mark. I put a bit too much texture on the base in my hurry to complete one. I think I will also hit it with a bit more green wash in order to vary the blue a bit. My main bad habit to break is going back to "fix" something on the ship which only makes it worse! It does seem funny to say printout for a mini I will grant you. |
