Hello,

One more unit has been completed for the 6mm (8mm) Epic Space marine army. This time we have a unit of Raven Wing bikes. This unit has both the regular bikes and the attack bikes as fire support. The miniatures are the metal blisters currently available form GW. I liked these more than the older plastic epic bikes, because they matched the look of the attack bikes and their 28mm equivalents. This was the second to last unit with one more to go to complete the army.

I will add that painting a black unit drove me nuts. Getting them to "pop" at all seemed hard. They were so dark, even for someone like me that likes nice dark military colors. Still it is done now and I hope you enjoy.

The full "Platoon" four squads of bikes.

A detailed look of one of the "squads." I generally don't use GW organization.

Thanks

Although it's fiddly, some bike banners might make them pop a bit more.

But I'd say they look fine already.

They look good.

Painting black in 6mm is tough. I usually put down pure black, then painting everything but the crevices a dark German gray and put a thin line of medium gray on the edges for highlights.

Any reason why you doubled up the Attack bikes two per a stand?

I'm sorry for the double post. I thought this one had dissappeared into the ether. 3 days later it has returned, weird.

Thanks for the comments. I doubled up on the attack bikes because I thought they looked better and matched their Leg infantry fire support stands that had two heavy weapons.

I don't play in tournaments so a little tweaking of the stats to fit them will work fine.
