I recently bought some FoW blisters from a UK Ebay seller. He says they were shipped on Sept 8, but have not yet arrived. How long should I wait before I start to get concerned? I don't want to make a paypal complaint unless I really have to, and I want to make sure I wait a reasonable amount of time before I start bugging him. How long is reasonable?

I think I would give it at least three weeks before you give him a nudge. I occasionally get packages from the UK to the US in under a week, sometimes as long as four weeks from the date of shipment. The holdup usually isn't on the seller's end in my experience.

It is horribly variable at the moment. If the package gets stuck in a queue in US customs it can take 5 or 6 weeks.

It varies as JeffW75 says. I had a package show up in 7 days and others take three to four weeks. I have had only one package opened by Customs and I not sure they did it on purpose.

I live in Indiana as well. And I have experienced shipments received in a week. As well as four weeks. I too believe it is US customs holding things up.

I had some stuff from China that was held in customs about 4 weeks..Some others from the UK 4 to 6 weeks…

I had something (not game related) come from the UK, it took 4 weeks and it was a small envelope.

It varies.Last year I sent several orders to the USA and Canada in the space of a week….some arrived within 7 days ……..some got there after 3 weeks! All went by standard airmail on the same day.Things can get held up in the postal service at this end (UK) or over there……..or the customs have a backlog to deal with.Frustrating for the customer and for the seller too.

Everyone is, of course, assuming they were sent Airmail. Sea would take about 2 months.

I get packages every week from the UK. As others have said, it can take a week or up to three weeks, often depending on customs. One thing though, lots of UK Ebay sellers insist on 'signed for' mail which is quite expensive and, surprisingly, often takes longer. So far, 'signed for' included the only package I ever lost in five years. If possible try and get the seller to use regular air mail or Royal Mail 'Small Packets'.

It has taken me as long as three weeks to get something here in the States, so just hold on another week or two then look into it.

the seller would not be covered by Paypal if they did that, which is why most require "Signed-For".

All "Signed-For" is though is Airmail (such as "Small Packets) with a surcharge for collecting the signature – it is sent on the same service and (in theory) takes the same time.

The faster service is "Airsure", but that is more expensive.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll give it another 2 weeks before I start to pester him.

I've had stuff from the UK in a week, other times over a month. I just received a package from a UK-based company and it took 11 days. There are a lot of variables involved.

I have had a couple of packages that are at 13 days and counting (the buyers told me that they had not arrived yet) but most things UK-USA usually seem to take 8-10 days. As others said completely hit and miss though!

Off Topic a package recently took a mad 3.5 weeks to UK-Russia, I can only assume these hold-ups are all customs related on the recipient side.

All the best

The worst I have ever had was I sent something to Canada and made the mistake of not doing airmail – 6 months later it arrived. The quickest I can think of was 54hours from order to door from Singapore for a package.

My US to UK or vice versa always seemed fairly consistent in the 3-8days range.
