So what's Demor going to do now that their sponser has been "retired". The Other Tim |

The period is set late 1980s, so old Col. G is still alive and kicking :-) |

I love the mix of equipment and how weathered/chaotic everything looks. It really helps the feel. The four wheeled scout car the invaders used is a BRDM, not a BMP (sorry
my armor nerd is showing). Unless you meant something else by the acronym. |

Africa is on my "one of these days" list. Are you using 20mms? |
| Richard Baber | 19 Sep 2011 12:56 p.m. PST |
Cloudcaptain – The BRDM was knocked out by the 106mm RCL, the vehicle wrongly identified as a BMP was infact a BTR60p :-) Thanks for the comments guys. 79thPA – yes all 20mm, a whole mix of manufacturers. |

Ah
.the old "hide the extra wheels in the alley and cover with smoke" trick :) |

Richard, I see the defenders were using a repainted Matchbox car the "Stoat" circ 1970s, any other surprises? Like the 4WDs or jeeps? regards Allan |

Cattle Dog Both sides are built from any odds`n sods modern stuff I had knocking about. Col Endoufa`s boys are mainly Liberation 1970s Brits mixed with his Africans – though there are some new S&S Models figures and Raventhorpe guys too plus lots of head-swops and minor conversions. They have M24s, M8 ACs plus Unimogs mounting HMGs and other odd bits too. The Demorians are mainly Platoon20 Middle-eastern figures again 1980s (pseudo Egyptian/Syrian/Iraqi, etc, etc). With Elheim and Liberation filling out the ranks, again with head-swops and conversions. They have some APCs – BTR152, BTR60p, BTR50, some T55 tanks and light recce (the technicals and BRDM). Neither side has air-assets or serious artillery, I want to keep the whole thing a low-tech, stand-up fight. |

I like the dockside train. Too bad the Chaffee got hit. I have liked that tank ever since there was one guarding my hootch area in Nam. |
