A few days ago I posted a question here about the 'Post New News' button being grayed out in the Hobby news section. I was told that there was an upgrade going on. Okay, fine, I can understand that. But there seems to be a steady stream of new news stories still appearing on the home page. What gives? How are people still posting news stories? I've got some new products I'd like to announce and this is the best place to do it.

Probably the back log from before the button was greyed out.

Several people back up their News stories with posts in the appropriate Messages board(s).

Not a back log, many things posted are very new and date specific.

Some people have managed to get an e-mail to Bill and he publishes from that, others get an error when they try.

I have resigned myself to just posting on the most relevant board when posting news on TMP.

Send your news (including links to photos) to Bill in an email.

Scott,
I would send him a message with a link to the photos and then also pm him or even start a thread on the sponsors forum letting him know you have done so; that would likely be the quickest way for him to see you have sent an email since I am not sure how backlogged he is on emails.

I have been posting on TGN and in the 15mm sci-fi board although it does not seem to have same impact on visits to site or sales.

At this point would like to see old system restored and shoot for a new look later.

2 months is a long period to go with out new news able to be posted.

That section is down for renovation. Send your info and pic links to Bill via email or PM.

Email the editor and the 3 most important each day get posted.

Simples.

ha ha important to whom?

This Hobby News thing is really p***ing me off. I've posted 5 new release articles in the past 6-7 weeks and not one of them has been posted on the site.

TGN had to reconfigure their new submissions area but it was fixed within a week or thereabouts (they also managed to keep posting articles via email submissions too).

I just don't get it and I think I'm wasting my time.

I have rebuilt my website*, added new ranges and over 800 new products, organised and staged a convention, set up a new company and had new releases for the new company and Angel Barracks since then.

I have been unable to get any of this onto the hobby news of TMP as the news function does not seem to work for me.

I am sad too.

*whilst rebuilding the entire site it was offline for about 11 minutes.
