The Cult of Andromeda is a cross-galactic movement to transform the galaxy, seen by many as a doom cult because its leader, the witch Andromeda, is able to tear the fabric of reality to summon beasts from another dimension. When they appear, that world goes silent forever. The cult considers this transformation inevitable and desirable, but of course most in our dimension would disagree. Two of the factions most active in the cult are strange aliens, the Naga and the extra-galactic Thuloids. They will be the first codes released. Each will be in two sets, a set with blasters and a set with power halbards. Here's a preview of the Naga with blasters:
And here are the Thuloids with power halbards:
As you can see, they are conversions of our popular Octopus God cultists, adding boots and changing the weaponry. The mauser rifles have been replaced with dark energy blasters, and the tridents with power halberds (which have incorporated into them a small blaster near the blade). We've had a dark energy heavy blaster made as well, as an all-new sculpt for the blaster pack. And of course the cobra-headed Nagas have a new head set. Like the Octopus God Cultists, the heads are separate and there are six heads for each four (or five) models in the pack, allowing more pose variety. Andromeda herself, in power armour and a cape, has been made and she rides into battle on her Cobra grav platform, a very imposing model indeed! The platform doubles as a grav weapons platform, the top-mounted dark energy cannon crewed by a cultist (a head pack will allow the dark energy cannoneer to be either a Naga or a Thuloid). Thrall shocksquads will follow, a horrible admixture of human prisoner and machinery. Naga and Thuloids may be released as early as tomorrow, as well as one of Andromeda's favourite summoned horrors, an enormous tentacled mass the mere sight of which is sufficient to drive most mortals completely mad. Stay tuned! Thanks to our own Spacejacker for the splendid paint-ups. |

A nice batch of expansions made off of existing product. All excellent miniatures in their own right. Grouped together with Chewks you could have quite the disturbing bunch of hooded ocean creature hooded cultists. -Eli |

Whoops, forgot the tentacled mass. Tentacled masses do not like being forgotten!

khurasanminiatures | 10 Sep 2011 1:40 p.m. PST |
I have older stock that is fiddly to turn into product. I am reorganizing that and it's going well but not done yet. Meanwhile if I get new product and it's salable right out of the box, I release it. That's what I did with the Felid jetbikes and space demon nymph hosts, and the winged parasachnids will be next. |
Nandalf | 10 Sep 2011 1:50 p.m. PST |
Hoho!! I see these and immediately think inter-cult civil war ;) These are awesome! Thankyou Mr Khurasan, for your Pewtery goodness! Ben. |
moocifer | 10 Sep 2011 2:14 p.m. PST |
Wish these were available as a 6mm range too .. |
khurasanminiatures | 10 Sep 2011 2:16 p.m. PST |
Well, moccifer, 6mm is not totally out of the question. I released the MDMS tanks in 6mm and they sold so-so, I'll see how the Nova Respublik vehicles sell in the same scale (they are next) and if they sell well, perhaps the Mekanoid dictator and the Federal vehicles! |

Beautiful! Where would you find bases (as pictured) so they would match what's in the photo? Definitely looking at picking these up but want the nicer bases you've shown. |
khurasanminiatures | 10 Sep 2011 4:32 p.m. PST |
Try renaissance ink, I think. |

The bases are standard 20mm plastic slotta bases, and the Shoggoth is on a standard 50mm slotta base. I got mine from em-4 in the UK, but you should be able to find them very inexpensively online in the US. They are textured with PVA glue and fine sand, drybrushed and with a little static grass to finish. Full tutorial here: link Spacejacker |

khurasanminiatures | 26 May 2012 10:04 a.m. PST |
Still waiting for the paintups of the balance of the cultists. Shouldn't be too much longer. |
steve atkinson | 26 May 2012 11:48 a.m. PST |
Oh – looking forward to 6mm NR releases next week if possible , I hope it doesn't put back the JTFB but if it does , it does . At least it is something else to look forward to . |
palaeoemrus | 26 May 2012 3:38 p.m. PST |
Hmm. I figured the octopus god cultists were supposed to be humans wearing octopus masks. Not actual octopus headed critters. Silly me. |
Lfseeney | 26 May 2012 6:37 p.m. PST |
Could be another head swap to add to the mix. |
Annerios | 26 May 2012 9:57 p.m. PST |
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to getting these. Have you considered doing some alternate human heads with cowls or releasing some human cultists for the Eldritch Horror line? |
Lead Space | 27 May 2012 11:27 a.m. PST |
Yes human cultists would be nice! |
khurasanminiatures | 27 May 2012 11:58 a.m. PST |
Human cultists wearing gas masks have been made as well. There are also the Vilg, who were inspired by these chaps:

Weasel | 27 May 2012 4:58 p.m. PST |

Covert Walrus | 27 May 2012 5:06 p.m. PST |
I have just been inspired – My own Ancient Race in the GZGVerse, the Hands Of Pnit, could well be played by this diverse clade of species. . . . |
ThorLongus | 27 May 2012 6:42 p.m. PST |
Human cultists

. |
ThorLongus | 28 May 2012 7:18 a.m. PST |
Wow just placed a good sized order for strange aeons in 15mm. Can't wait for human/ gas mask cultists
was planning on making some with the octopus guys and GZG heads
.maybe I'll wait. Jon, any plans on some adventurer types with 1920 period weapons
.for now using some of shepartons well dressed gangsters |
Annerios | 28 May 2012 8:37 p.m. PST |
"Human cultists wearing gas masks" = awesome. Maybe instead of converting human cultists, we should work on converting the Thuloids with the Deep Ones to make some robed Deep Ones. Unless those are in the works too? |
khurasanminiatures | 28 May 2012 8:46 p.m. PST |
How different would that be from the nagas really? |
republic of tolworth | 12 Jun 2012 12:02 p.m. PST |

LoudNinjaGames | 12 Jun 2012 12:38 p.m. PST |
I am eager to see the Vilg. Hooked creatures of all sorts are good for various genres – Post-apocalyptic, scifi, horror, even superheroes. -Eli |
