"15mm Sci-Fi Minis Intel?" Topic

Anyone have any top secret, or not so secret intel on upcoming 15mm Sci-Fi miniatures releases due out before the end of the year?

While we're at it, any upcoming rules sets we might want to know about too?

I do. But if I told you then I would have to kill you. I've been sworn to secrecy. But I'll tell you this, there's nothing like swatting bugs! 8D

We have some stuff in the works. Might not be this year. It will be exciting once we get them ready for prime time.

I posted this in another thread already so it's technically not top secret anymore.

@ Mad Robot – He said 15mm, not 28. And if that is 15mm, then all I have to say is, "$&%$#, my painting skills will never do those guys justice."

I agree with Styderg, if those minis Mad Robot is showing are 15mm, they are very nice. Looks like someone is going to get jump troops soon. I hope it's 15mm . . . . .

Don't recall seeing them.

They'll be a great addition to 15mm.

Also, will they be produced in 25mm/28mm scale too?

Ran across this, after posting this question, on the Ground Zero Games website:

"Now, there are several bits of info that are relevant to this show {referring to COLOURS in the UK):

1) There SHOULD, if the Gods of Mouldmaking are kind, be some NEW 15mm items out in time for the show. These should include the first of the long-awaited NEW-SCULPT NAC POWER ARMOUR, plus some new items for the CRUSTIES – some "heavy" infantry in armoured suits, and an all-new Crusty medium combat walker about 32mm tall, which will be supplied with several arm, leg and weapon variants!

Production of these will be right down to the wire before I load the van, so there won't be any details of them online before the show – you'll just have to come along and see them! Once the show is over, I'll get them up on the store for mailorder as soon as possible".

I hope I am interpreting the above statement correctly, which if so would mean we'll be seeing Crusties in Battle Armour.

If not, any new troops in armoured suits will still be fine by me.

Fingers crossed, and if anyone reads this, please post pics of the new minis from GZG here, ASAP.

@Mako11: Mad Robot Miniatures will be making them in 15mm. I'll have the greens in hand next week and we hope to have them off to the caster the week after. Can't say for sure when they'll be available but we hope by October 1.

28/30mm may be available once we get the Greatcoats released.

@Umpapa: Those are ours as well, 15mm :) Greens should be done by October 1 with a hopeful November release.

Mad Robot, excuse our skepticism, but those are unbelievable for the scale. Harook and the humans. The quality level is going up and up in this scale. ;)

@Wellspring: That's the goal. We may not have tons of releases but we aim to make everything as inspiring as possible.

Those are great! Pedro did an excellent job on them.

Actually Pedro didn't do these, he's still hard at work on the Harook. A sculptor named Leandro Venitc did this work.

Oh, I meant the Harook, but the others look good too.

Mad Robot, those troopers are dead sexy.

I am saving my pennies for Khurasans Russians. If they are half as good as his Feds I will pick up several platoons worth and the APCs to carry them in.

Hopefully available very soon doug -- they are in the queue right behind the JTFB at the casters, and the painter has them as well, so it should be within a month. Could even be sometime in September if all goes well. Their "darling little" robots will also be released at the same time.

The Doe gunship and Cossack wheeled light APC are with the casters to be made in resin, and the Nova Respublik power armour, very clunky looking, with four medium machine guns and a missile launcher, will be finished the cleanup process and off to the caster (for pewter casting) soon after.

Oooo i like the above mechs they look very belivable, and what makes me even happier is the fact they look like some of the original Battletech mech's known as Battledroids which i have quite a few of…

One photo is worth a thousand words, but a few photos of the new items would be wonderful, especially of the Crusties in Battle Armor (if that's which ones are being produced in that).

Whatever happened to the Eureka not-Zhodani (Ventaurans)? Lot of smoke and noise earlier in the year and then nothing. Not on the Eureka website to order. Seems a strange marketing campaign.

Looks like Mad Robot and Dreamforge Games will be getting some of my hard earned coin when they release the stuff they are showing here.

My WWWII need some Stormtroopers, and jump troops are always good. Congrats guys, looking very good.

People that signed up for the 300/500 Club, or whatever number they used for the Ventauran range have apparently received them.

They seem to wait a few months after that (3 – 6 months, or so), for general release/sales to others, presumably as an added incentive to help with the initial release orders.

Not sure when the final release date is planned, what they'll cost, or if they will be producing more troops, but they should be available eventually.

Hopefully, they will produce some more figures for the range too, to include: some action poses, prone troops, vehicle crew busts, etc.

The Ventaurans are already out! Got mine & love em. They are listed on the Eureka site under the "in production" section.

And, Crusty Heavies is indeed excellent news. I was just hoping for some GZG news on which race was going to be the next to get the "make over" they are giving all their current lines

I'm hoping for UNSC hardshells, and NSL, since the NI's need someone else to fight wearing battle armor.

Crusties in light battle armor would be good as well.

New Vacc Suit troopers would be nice too, since one can never have enough of those.

Looks like dreamforge is going up against eureka, with their space nazis of doom.

Glad to hear the Ventaurans are available, but I couldn't find them.

First looked at 15mm and Eureka, and they do show the 500 Club entry, from Oct. 31, 2007, but nothing is listed there.

Did the same with Sci-Fi figs.

Typed in Ventaurans, and nothing came up either.

Tried looking under new releases, but didn't want to sort through the 10,000+ "new" entries, 10 at a time, so gave up.

Didn't see an in production link.

Ah well, hopefully they'll be added to their website properly, eventually.
