"The thought of 50cal at 300yds/900ft being a range issue, I would say not at all" I didn't mean it as a range issue technically so much as would modern marines think of a sword armed man at 300 yards a threat? Is a man with a sword three football fields away threatening to someone armed with a 50cal or would they consider shooting him akin to shooting an unarmed man? |

I think you all completely underestimate the morale of the ancients. Yes, the first four battles the Romans would lose 150,000 men, they did [and more]against Hannibal. They just keep raising armies until the ammunition runs out, and then the legion massacres Marines. Never mind supernatural M1A1, they are just an elephant who can shoot. [A limited number of times] – Money on Romans.. big time. Look at the number of times they lost battle after battle and won the war. |
