Hello,

I think I know the answer to this, but does anyone make 1940 French mounted cavalry? If not, what do folks think of the idea of using WW1 French cav for WW2.

I would imagine it would work fine in 15mm.
Except that the horses would be REALLY old by then.

I think the WWI figs would work okay.

True North (now part of Old Glory) make Polish cavalry in Adrian helmets – might they make a useful substitute for French?

Mark,

Thanks for that suggestion. I think they would work.

Historicalgamer, if you dry brush the mane and tail of your French mounts with grey, and then lightly with white, you could get away with it.

Minifigs WWI French cavalry are what I'm planning to use.

LOL!

How about a walking stick or two as well?

I plan to use True North Polish mounted and dismounted cavalry figs as well. I can see no real difference between the French and Poles in a 15mm scale.

In fact, I think they will work well for a Polish or French force in FoW as there is no reason to collect a separate force. The shade of khaki may be different, but no that much.
