I don't really game it. I read so much about it that I gave up on trying to have a good game from it. |

ACW is my favorite. Followed by Colonials, then SYW/FIW, AWI, and Nappys. Like others I have a large collection of ACW books, which I have culled multiple times over the years. I see no purpose in keeping intro level info when I'm past the intro stage. I give them away to others interested in the period. I am in the process of updating (paint touch-ups and et cetera) and rebasing my figures for FnF regimental. |

ACW is the only mass-combat game I have at the moment. So, yes, if we qualified it accordingly. Since I primarily play non-ACW skirmish games, then I would say no. |

ACW is the period I know the most about, read extensively, and enjoy playing the most, but also have interest in other era's such as ancients, colonial, and for non-historical it's Superheroes! Kim |

Still a major interest but I play more WWII than anything. |
FireZouave | 29 Aug 2011 8:36 p.m. PST |
ACW primarily with 10mm, 15mm and 28mm, but also WWII. Don't play anything else because I don't have the time to even play enough ACW |

I avoided it for a long time but have just painted a Union corps as I reckon it work well under Black Powder with a few tweaks. |

No but quite interested in the idea if not the reality. Have three sets of rules for land based but sold the figures twice (not the same sets) and keep drooling over the Baccus figures at shows
|

No, it's the era on which I have the most expertise, but I play more WW2. For a number of reasons, including what eras I have opponents for. But mostly because the part of the ACW that interests me most is the strategy, not the tactics -- i.e. the campaigns/maneuvering, not the battlefield/combat. |

No. That said I have 2000+ painted figs. Not sure what that sez about me or the period. |

Love ACW, but play Republican Rome to WWII. Black powder is my main favorite, with SYW, AWI, Napoleonic, ACW and FPW armies. |

I started with ACW, did it exclusively for perhaps 5-7 years, then moved onto Napoleonics and did that (with BattleTech interspersed) for about 10 years. Recently I resumed ACW and in the couple years I've actually done some of each as well as starting WW2. Right now I face the issue all ACW gamers do. I need more fences. Cheers, The Bandit |

Yes ACW is my favorite period and I have played more of it than any other period. But in the least five years or so I have played ACW less then AWI which is my current project. But with the 150th anniversary of the ACW, I have just started playing more ACW. I would list my favorite periods but I have rarely played or heard of a period I didn't like (Cartlist? No thanks). Usually what decides the period I am going to do are, if there are any available rules I like and can I generate enough interest to get players. Do I have time for it. So many periods, so little time. The periods I have figures for and actively play are: ACW AWI 2nd Boer War Franco/Prussian French Victorian Era Colonial (TSTAF Variant) Napoleonic (Hardly ever use my small number of figs) Periods I don't have figures for but actively play with others figures are: Napoleonics(I don't have enough to matter) British Victorian Era Colonial (TSTAF) SYW WWII (Can't really get into this period, but I will (and have) game it, if I like the rules which I usually don't. Periods I would like to game more: SYW ECW Spanish Civil War Mexican/American Napoleonics Periods I have projects planned for: AWI (done south, now working on Saratoga) ECW Napoleonics (Pennisular 25/28mm) WWI (1914 western front and middle east) Sudan |

AND interesting moral and philosphical issues to boot ! |
