Hi All, This weekend I have been casting some Prince August figures and a lot of fun its been too. Question is, are there any other manufacturers of home casting moulds? Preferably metal as I haven't any experience with resin. The main interest I have is for fantasy and pre gun powder historicals in 25mm, but really any wargaming scale or period is open. Also is there anyone who does AFVs? Does anyone else cast there own? |

Google Dutkins. They have a good catalog of 25mm and 54mm. I enjoy casting. It's fun to field an army you cast and painted. |

Home casting is great fun. You should try taking it one step further and sculpt your own stuff, make your own mold, and then cast. It sounds intimidating, but it's very satisfying to make a metal miniature that's totally yours from concept to finished product. And as you can see from the crudeness of my first spaceship below, the professionals have no worries about losing our business; there's a certain level of detail you just can't get with home casting.
