What is 1" Scale? When talking about doll houses and trains? What does that convert to in miniatures talk? 25mm? |

1" scale comes from the drawing convention that 1" = 1' ON THAT DRAWING. So, it is 1/12. Similarly 1/2" scale is 1/24, and 1/4" scale is 1/48. 1/6" scale is 1/72, so is closer to 25mm, if you follow the convention that a 6' tall man is a 1" tall figure to the top of the head or 25mm tall.
