I just finished some 15mm hasty barricades. I used some rubber HO scale tires, and a few pieces form a HO scale junk set. Bases made from plastic card. A total of about an hour of effort, plus drying time. I also painted up some flashpoint 15mm Delta guys. Sorry for the bad pictures, I'll take better ones later. Those look great well done. I especially like the smoke and fire. -Dan |

They are not going to stop a G.E.V. let alone an Ogre! Like to goggle effect in the first picture third from left front row. Fire is great as well – I ended up buying some stuffing from Flames of War for this link (mainly black in the packs I could get) so could you please tell me how you did yours? My flames were cheap and easy (kinda like me!). Thanks for the complements. For the flames, I bought some fine (I think 00) steel wool (about a buck) and some metal washers (I think the ones I used were about a nickle a pop). Pulled apart a steel wool pad to get the shape, and glued it to the washer. Spray painted it black from a few angles. Once dry used an old brush and some red and yellow craft paint. Started dabbing the red along the base, then the yellow overlapping the red and then higher while the red was still wet. Jake |

Thanks for the fast return. I did wonder if that was the material – my main concern is rust from the steel wool |

Those are almost 3 years old. Most of their time has been in a not climate controlled storage building. I've had no problems yet. |
