Yes, posting in the Napoleonics discussion forum as I am looking for late 1700s, early 1800s Egyptians of the type suitable for not only Nappy's Egyptian Campaign but William Eaton's 1805 "to the shores of Tripoli" campaign through the Second Barbary War. Here's the rub
the figures need to blend with Thoroughbred Models' Sea Eagle range, which I hear (just ordered some today) are smaller 15mm figures, so I believe the Black Hat figures are right out due to their larger size. Bummer. I've got the terrain to cover small actions in the North African desert, some cool Tripoli pirates and U.S. Marines coming, and want to add some auxilary forces as needed. Just in case you are not familiar, here is the link to the Sea Eagles range: link |

You can use some of the Ottoman Irregulars Sekans and Regular Nizzams from the Old Glory 15mm Ottoman range. mameluke cavalry can be found in the French battlehonors range. Minifigs have Barbry pirates adn naval crews and marines. |

The Egyotians regulars from the Greek wars of the 1820s might work but I have not checked the uniform that closely. |

The Minifigs Ottomans are smaller 15mm so might fit alongside Thoroughred. Egyptian Sekhan:
The Minifigs Barbary pirates are actually from their range of 16th Century Moors but they still look pretty similar to the Thoroughbreds you are using:
Minifigs also do American marines if you want to add some variety (I think there is a mixture of poses in the pack but only one is pictured on the website:
Finally, if you need ships crews, their sets of British and French Seamen are really nice:

Wow, thanks all, and especially for those pics, SJ! Looks like these might have been some of the "better" MiniFigs. The Marine looks "okay" but the Moors/pirates and ships crews look very nice. Time to place an order with MiniFigs UK! Aagain, thanks folks, this is what TMP is all about
maybe we should create a poll on the topic. |

You could also pick up some Falcon Figures UK Ottomans – they fit in perfectly with Minifigs. I also think Essex make some figures that would fit in as well. Great topic, by the way! |

Check out the Napoleonic Ottoman Turks originally made by 'One Tree Designs' and now owned by Vexilia – they should fit the bill nicely. |
