Nice and inspiring. Myself, I'm finishing up some pieces for my STALKER table. This reminds me to get back at it. |

Nice! Watch out, though, I think I saw some Skaven skulking around in some of those ruins. |

Nice start. But if you are going to Mordheim I would suggest "darkening" the whole thing up a lot. First I would get rid of the "green" road or grass or whatever that is. Mordheim is an urban environment and broken cobbles would be more in theme. I would also suggest putting a lot of "black wash" on all the buildings, maybe even letting it run. |

Maybe also use some black paint for scorch marks on the buildings. |

Hi, everyone. Thanks for the replies. @jpattern2: You're right, this place is gonna be lousy with rats. I've got a box of NightRunners just rarin to get some Wyrdcheese :) @deanoware: Thanks. I do intend to do a lot more detailing to the buildings to dirty them up some more. Black washes sound like just the ticket and I've got some Doc O'Brien's Weathering Powders I want to try out. I am getting rid of that green EV foam, it was just there as a placeholder for the canals I'm starting on tonight. @Inari7: Thanks. I'll try that. I saw some builds where all of the blown-out walls had that effect. It looked very good. |

Great stuff, I wish we were neighbors. |

Yes, great pieces adding up to a fun table. I agree if you are taking the effort to further weather the buildings that they will look even better. |

One tip I have is to use some resin or thick layers of varnish to make puddles on the roads / pavements Do not forget the scatter scenery – anything from little piles of bricks / tiles through to sacks and barrels. Enjoy the games – the builds look great! Andrew Sic Parvis Magna P.S. Skaven rule Mordheim – I never lost with them |

Hi folks. Thanks for the kind remarks. I've got a little update on the table. Finished the canal and some bridges. Copied the water effects from Mason on LAF in his Krappefortt thread. Here's a link to my effort. link Haven't gotten around to dirtying up the buildings, yet, but that is in the pipeline. |

Nice water effect. I had to stop folowing Masons LAF thread as every time I went back to my own efforts they just looked a little
.pants. |

@Prince Rupert: LOL, I know what you mean. |

Very attractive layout. Mordheim keeps calling to me, but I think I'll have to do it in 15mm instead

How did you get that cobblestone appearance on the vinyl floor tiles? |
Luckyjoe | 17 Aug 2011 7:10 p.m. PST |
@Little Big Wars: That's one of the things I want to do, too. 15mm Mordheim is cool! Here's a link where Dis is doing just that. :) link I love his stuff, especially his 15mm Mordheimer sculpts. @Baconfat: I was lazy. The cobblestone is actually a couple of LeMax Christmas Village Cobblestone mats I drybrushed. I used the vinyl floor tiles to base the buildings and to base the canal sections. |
