I was looking around for something else and saw this one

picture

This guy stood out for me as a monk for all seasons…1600's-2000's this guy says classic hammer of god to me.

While a gun seems more appropriate for most modern zombie settings, this guy looks like he can handle himself.

How about for you? Which priest miniature stands out the most for you?

*****

Especially if the setting/system allows for holy weapons…

Put a big, wooden stake in his off hand.

I like the heavily armed limited edition priest and nun from foundry.

Priest – M60, Pistol, stakes, flak vest
Nun – Custom MP5, Grenades, etc

The Brotherhood and Sisterhood Biker Gangs from West Wind's Roadkill look suited enough to slay zombies or any other occult being.

I'm kinda keen for Grace the Holy Assassin from Reaper.

picture

She looks like she'd fit in well with my Warzone Brotherhood army or even my Vatacina.

Although Reaper's Father Thomas the Vicar is prepared to hold them off with a Crucifix,

picture

He's got Sister Maria packing some heat to back him up.

For something a bit more mid-20th Century there's Major Turntadust from Warlord Miniatures.

and the US Army Chaplain from Jeff Valient Studios.

and Artizan has Father Sweeny

In 20mm, I'm pretty sure I got mine from C-P Models, but I'm not finding this set on their website now. Priest with pistol and molotov, leading the faculty of the parochial school who have all gone to the weapons locker for this sort of emergency:

For something a bit more futuristic, there's the Vatacina.

There's the Cardinal

The Pistol Fencer

and their Vatacina Guard

Then there's also the Warzone Brotherhood lineup gunning down those futuristic cyborg zombies.

The Visionary

Inquisitor Nikodemous (because chainsaws & zombie fighting is cool!)

I'm rather fond of this guy from a purely fantasy standpoint.

Amazon Miniatures used to make a bunch of armed Rabbis…
beer

28mmMan26 Jul 2011 10:42 a.m. PST

It is the same guy as mine…just when he was younger :)

"Amazon Miniatures used to make a bunch of armed Rabbis"

…makes sense because Rabbis without arms would just be silly…

(…I'll get m' coat…)

religon26 Jul 2011 10:47 a.m. PST

Russian monks….

picture

I converted the upper left removing the sword and replaced with a fist. The upper right I converted to hold a hammer and stake.

For something a bit more post apocalyptic there's lot's in the Dark Age Forsaken line.

This Contradiction is a great model.

picture

Saint John and Saint Mary are also good choices.

"…makes sense because Rabbis without arms would just be silly…"

They could still kick a vampire's ass.

I I was hunting vampires this is the Priest I would want on my side:

CPT Jake26 Jul 2011 11:07 a.m. PST

Griffin Miniatures had a great priest with a shotgun as part of their zombie/hunter range.

For something more Old West there's these new Deadlands minis from Reaper.

Reverend Grimm

Black Scorpion's Tombstone line

and a nice one in the Artizen lineup.

Russian monks….

The DO all look like they're in a hurry…

timurilank26 Jul 2011 12:43 p.m. PST

Bloody Hades. I see a lot of religious followers less inclined to "turn the other cheek."

blackscribe26 Jul 2011 1:03 p.m. PST

Here's a whole crew of 'em from RL:

Getting back to a little more Medieval there's the Battle Monks from Black Orc Game's 100 Kingdoms, Avalon faction.

picture

as well as the Avalon War Sisters and Friar

picture

picture

Then Kraken Studios has in their Alkemy line, also an Avalon faction, a Deacon and a Friar.

Helldorado's Westerners faction has a Missionary

and Sister Eloise

Enjoying this thread – added some things to the 'wishlist' :-)

Yes sir…some real gems popped up. As I expected, TMPers have such a varied taste pallet…lots of choices.

I personally do tend to prefer the less Rambo with a bible type, but there are great options regardless of your vision.

For a modern game, especially a skirmish undead rumble type of game, I am liking

picture

picture

With the Father Sweeny I would be tempted to put something a bit less turn the other cheek in his right hand…a baseball bat for example…that and straighten out the crucifix; looks like it may have been used to drive home a sermon to an undead head :)

Good stuff guys.
